There was a rakshasa named Gayasur who tapped for thousands of years and being pleased with his tap, Sri Hari Narayan appeared and said, tell me Gayasur, I am very pleased with your tap, tell me what boon do you want, then Gayasur said to Lord Narayan, Prabhu give me this boon that my body should become better than the three worlds and become the most pure, then Sri Hari blessed Gayasur and said, may your body become better than the three worlds and his entire body became very pure. Now whichever living creature, or human being, touched his body, started going to heaven and the door of hell started closing. Then Brahma ji along with all gods went to Sri Hari Vishnu ji and said that only you can save this world, otherwise it will be completely destroyed, the entire balance of the world is being disturbed, all the living beings who are committing sins are also going to heaven, please find a solution for this Prabhu. Then Lord Vishnu and all the gods went to Gayasur and said that we want to perform Yagya on your body. Then Gayasur said that my body is of human head and will be burnt, then Brahma ji said that I will keep one religious stone on you and on your chest When the yagya was completed, Gayasur started getting up, then Lord Vishnu took the load of three people and pressed his chest with his right leg, then that demon went below the earth. The one with right leg is his symbol, we see it in Vishnupad temple.
